Bands and DJs typically will have their own equipment, but the facility will need to provide tables, a stage and the electrical outlets for the equipment. Always ask if there is a specific set up the facility provides for your entertainment.

If you don't know about bands and DJ's in the area consider using an agent or a wedding planner that already has a good idea of what entertainment services would meet your needs. You will have to communicate clearly to the agent or coordinator what you are expecting and will also need to be able to answer questions and provide information as required.

Either a DJ or a band needs to provide a play list for you. This play list should include all the songs and music styles that the entertainment company provides so you can ask for additional types of music or indicated the types you don't want played at the wedding.
