A wedding location should be easy to find and get to by car or arranged transportation. If the wedding location is out of the way or hard to find you may want to include a detailed map in the invitation or even arrange a shuttle or bus to take guests to and from hotels or other specified areas.
A wedding location needs to be the right size based on the number of quests that are present. Cramped or small wedding locations tend to decrease the likelihood that everyone will have a good time and may even result in guests leaving early.
Be sure to interview the staff at the wedding location as well as go out and actually take a look at the facility, regardless of who makes the recommendation. It is always a good idea if both the bride and groom attend the interviews and showings to ensure it is exactly what you both want and expect.
